2020 will see the launch of the first ever Digital Harwich Festival. Running from June 25th to July 5th, it will feature live streamed performances across a variety of genres including folk, jazz, classical and dance.
The festival also includes a number of community arts projects – keep reading to see how you can take part.
Live performances will be live streamed every night of the Festival at 7:45 via the Harwich Festival Facebook page.
The programme will feature high profile acts including: storyteller and folk singer Matthew Crampton; 2011 Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Jean Martyn; and singer/songwriter Alex Hart, who was due to tour America with Seth Lakeman and Jethro Tull’s Martin Barre before the pandemic scuppered plans.

The Harwich Festival challenges you to #getcreative and is calling for artists, film makers and creative writers of all ages and experience to submit work to their digital exhibitions. There will be online resources to help you get started.
Community projects will open for submissions form the 25th June and will remain open until the 31st July.
