The Essex 2020 podcast
In this series, we go behind the scenes of the UK’s biggest celebration of science and creativity. In each episode, Essex 2020 project director Richard Freeman meets some of the brilliant people and organisations who are working to create, inspire and discover Essex’s past, present and future.
In this episode: Steve Mortimer of Black Chapel Collective
Utilising extraordinary visuals and sound, Steve Mortimer is the producer behind The Black Chapel Creative. Black Chapel weaves a love of deep grooves with melancholy harmonies and intricate atmospheres influenced by a wide range of genres. With previous collaborations with Krafted Records, Sunscreem, and Ntsha to name a few; Black Chapel provides a fusion of music and visuals to provide a unique experience.
Richard Freeman talks to founder Steve Mortimer about Connect, a one-off multi-media event in partnership with Essex 2020. With input from world-leading scientists from varying spiritual and ecological traditions, Connect creatively expresses the intersection of science, art, and spirituality.
