Sun 27th September
A guided walk and talk. Meet the artists, park tours and picnic. Make a mandala out of locally grown produce.
Session 1: 09:00 – 13:00
Session 2: 12:00 – 16:00
Join us as we parade through the streets of the newly named Purfleet – on – Thames. This walk visits key organisations within the community as we celebrate the work they do and them coming together for this welcome to Purfleet – on – Thames event. The walk, which will showcase the 25 large silk flags made with – and to represent each – community group or local organisation, will end at the High house Production Park to celebrate the role the arts has to play in the regeneration of the town.
The Grow Your Own event will take place at High House Production Park, Purfleet – where Kinetika studios are based. Working with Heavenly Greens Fruit & Veg, local community groups and in partnership with developers PCRL we are curating a celebratory event focused on the theme of sustainable communities, including food production and distribution. The mandala will be made from locally grown produce.
We invite you to explore artist displays at the site, bring a picnic to enjoy at the park and showcase your home grown produce for a large scale mandala make as we reflect on the importance of building a sustainable community.
